What a division order is
A division order is the operator's statement of your decimal interest in a well or unit, which you confirm before payment begins. It confirms how you will be paid; it is not a lease and it does not by itself convey ownership.

Most statements contain the same core fields once you know what to look for.
- Owner number and property or unit number
- Well name and production month
- Gross volumes and price received
- Your decimal interest
- Taxes and post-production deductions
- Net payment
Why decimals look tiny
Your decimal reflects net mineral acres divided by unit acres, multiplied by the royalty rate. A 0.00125 decimal is completely ordinary and does not indicate an error.
